I've mentioned before the groups I'm involved in, with one of them being #fireworkpeople. (If you aren't familiar with this amazing group, head over here and read a bit about it.) From October 19-21 I'm joining Ashley and many other talented, creative, passionate women in the #wearefireandlight campaign. The purpose of the campaign is to inspire women to ask themselves a question-what is your fire and what will never stop you?.
So, what is your fire?
It is the thing that makes you feel the most alive. It is the thing that when you do it, you feel like you are doing what you were made to do. It is the thing that you feel is your job in life to do. It is both an amazing thing, and a scary thing. It could be hard, it could make you feel uncomfortable. Really, it's a question that in some way, shape, or form, everyone on earth asks their self- what am I supposed to do with my life? What am I passionate about? What is my fire?
As a twenty-something, it's something I've been thinking about a lot, honestly. I know what I like to do, and I have somewhat of an idea of the skills and talents that I have. I know I love people, despite the messiness that comes along with all relationships. I know I love creating and that I was made in the image of my Creator, who created everything. And that's a good place to start. I don't think we'll every actually know exactly what it is we're supposed to do and exactly how and when to do it. It's a process, and I think it's a thing that can change as we ourselves change and learn and grow.
I am a part of the #wearefireandlight campaign. From October 19th to 21st, hundreds of women will declare to the world what their fire is. My fire is to love people and fear will not extinguish it. Join the movement here.
